HomeMy WebLinkAbout057 - 05/16/1995 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR POLICE SERVICES ORDINANCE NO. 57, 1995 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR POLICE SERVICES WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 95-58, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has approved a contract with the State Department of Transportation concerning a grant of funds to the City under the State's Highway Safety Plan for fiscal year 1995 (the "Contract"); and WHEREAS, the Contract provides a grant to the City of $13,748 for the purchase of an unmanned Speed Monitoring Awareness Radar Trailer; and WHEREAS, Police Services has identified $159,563 in its 1995 budget for the in-kind personal services matching funds required by the Contract; and WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City Council to appropriate by ordinance unanticipated revenue which is the result of rate or fee increases or new revenue sources at any time during the year in which such revenue is received. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure in the General Fund from unanticipated revenue in the General Fund the sum of THIRTEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($13,748)for the purchase by Police Services of an unmanned Speed Monitoring Awareness Radar Trailer.
