HomeMy WebLinkAbout005 - 02/07/1995 - AMENDING CITY CODE BY DELETING DETAILED MINUTES FROM THE RECORD PROVIDED TO CITY COUNCIL ON APPEALS ORDINANCE NO. 5, 1995 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING SECTION 2-53 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY BY DELETING "DETAILED MINUTES" FROM THE RECORD PROVIDED TO CITY COUNCIL ON APPEALS WHEREAS, Section 2-53 of the Code of the City provides in subparagraph (1) that detailed minutes of the proceedings before the board or commission from which the appeal has been taken must be provided to the City Council on appeal; and WHEREAS, Section 2-53(3) requires a verbatim transcript of such proceedings to be prepared and presented to the City Council on appeal; and WHEREAS, the preparation of both the verbatim transcript and detailed minutes is redundant and results in the-unnecessary expenditure of public funds; and- WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is not necessary in the consideration of an appeal that detailed minutes be provided as a part of the record on appeal. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that Section 2-53 of the Code of the City be amended by the deletion of subparagraph (1) pertaining to detailed minutes and by renumbering of the subsequent subparagraphs accordingly.
