HomeMy WebLinkAbout055 - 06/05/1990 - AMENDING CITY CODE RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ORDINANCE NO. 55, 1990 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING SECTION 2-476 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES WHEREAS, the Charter provides for the appointment of a City Clerk by the City Manager with confirmation of the appointment by the City Council ; and WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Fort Collins has placed the Department of the City Clerk in the charge of the Director of Administrative Services; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that the Department of the City Clerk should be part of the Executive/Legislative Service Area because of the nature of the services provided by said Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: That Section 2-476 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins relating to the Office of Administrative Services be, and it hereby is, amended to read as follows: "Sec. 2-476. Director; duties. The Office of Administrative Services shall be and it is hereby created. The Office of Administrative Services shall be in the charge of a Director who is directly and solely responsible to the City Manager and who shall be responsible for the functions and duties of the Financial Administration Unit, the Purchasing Division, and such other departments, divisions, offices or persons assigned by the City Manager. " Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 15th day of May, A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final passage on the 5th day of June, A. D. 1990.
