OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SERVICES
FOR A TERM OF THREE (3) YEARS WITH
EMPLOYEE COUNSELING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has determined that the use of a request
for proposals process in the acquisition of services consisting of
confidential assessment of personal problems and referral services for City
employees is within the purview of the requirements of the Code and Charter
of the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the City issued a request for proposals for these services;
and
WHEREAS, upon evaluation of the proposals in accordance with the
City's procedure, it has been determined that Employee Counseling Services
should be selected to perform such work; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted and appropriated in the Benefits
Fund budget for 1990 for the acquisition of the above-mentioned services;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article V, Section 31 of the Charter of the City
of Fort Colins, no contract for services shall be for a period longer than
two (2) years unless authorized by ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a contract with Employee Counseling Services for the provision of
confidential assessment of personal problems and referral services to City
employees for a term of three (3) years.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 16th day of January, A.D. 1990, and to be presented for
final passage on the 6th day of February, A.D. 1990.
