OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 4 OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
CHANGING THE NAME OF THE OFFICE OF DEVELOPMENT
SERVICES TO THE OFFICE OF COMMUNITY
PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that the
term "Office of Community Planning and Environmental Services" better describes
the services and functions performed by the present "Office of Development
Services, " and that, accordingly, the name of said Office should be changed; and
WHEREAS, the Council has further determined that certain minor wording
changes should be made to Section 2-506 of the Code to better describe the
services provided by said Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That Chapter 2, Article IV, Division 4, of the Code of the City
be and hereby is amended to provide as follows:
DIVISION 4. OFFICE OF COMMUNITY
PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
Sec. 2-506. Director; duties.
The Office of Community Planning and Environmental Services shall
be and it is hereby created. The Office of Community Planning and
Environmental Services shall be in the charge of a Director who is
directly and solely responsible to the City Manager and who shall be
responsible for the functions and duties necessary to provide
engineering, community planning, environmental and construction-
related services required by the city and who shall have the control
and supervision over such other departments, divisions, offices or
persons assigned by the City Manager.
Section 2. That any other references to the Office of Development
Services, or the Director of Development Services, which may be found in the Code
of the City are intended henceforth to refer to the "Office of Community Planning
and Environmental Services" and the "Director of Community Planning and
Environmental Services."
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 21st day of January, A.D. 1992, and to be presented for final passage on the
4th day of February, A.D. 1992.
