OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
THE DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS,the City owns improved real property located at 101 Remington Avenue,known
as The Downtown Community Center (DTCC); and
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of building a new Senior Center and upon the
completion of the Senior Center, the City will no longer have a need for the DTCC; and
WHEREAS, the City conducted a request for proposal process to solicit offers for the
purchase of the DTCC and received offers from Progressive Old Town Square,L.L.C. and Advanced
Digital Imaging, Inc. in the amounts of$363,000 and $360,000, respectively; and
WHEREAS, Section 23-111 of the City Code authorizes the City Council to sell, convey or
otherwise dispose of any and all interests in real property owned in the name of the City,provided
that the City Council first finds, by Ordinance, that said sale or other disposition is in the best
interests of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the proposal submitted by Advanced Digital
Imaging, Inc. for the purchase and use of the DTCC will best serve the interests of the City.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby finds that the sale of the Downtown Community
Center to Advanced Digital Imaging, Inc. for the amount of THREE HUNDRED SIXTY
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($360,000) is in the best interests of the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That the City Manager and the Mayor be, and hereby are, authorized to execute
such documents as are necessary for the City to sell the Downtown Community Center to Advanced
Digital Imaging, Inc. for the amount of$360,000.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 7th day of
February, A.D. 1995 and to be presented for final passage on the 21 st day of Feb A.D. 1995.
