HomeMy WebLinkAbout009 - 02/15/1994 - APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES ORDINANCE NO. 9, 1994 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES WHEREAS, Article V, Section 9, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins, hereinafter "the Charter," requires that all appropriations which are unexpended or unencumbered at the end of the budget year, except appropriations for capital projects and federal or state grants, lapse to the applicable general or special fund; and WHEREAS, Article V, Section 7, of the Charter authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years notwithstanding that such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from prior year reserves in the General Fund the sum of TWO HUNDRED THIRTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY-THREE DOLLARS ($213,893) for the following: Financial System Improvements $ 79,501 Automated Mapping System 7,604 Police System Improvements 21,069 Library Information System 32,803 Larimer County Outreach Services 3,721 Citizen Communications 30,000 ff ZJH- 2D,Q00 Grandview Irrigation Pump 15, 195 Police Dispatch Equipment 4,000 Total General Fund $213,893 Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from undesignated prior year reserves in the Communications Fund the sum of TWO HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($230,000) for purchase and implementation costs associated with the electronic mail replacement project. Section 3. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from undesignated reserves in the Cultural Services & Facilities Fund the sum of SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,500) to fund planning for a comprehensive community wide Cultural Plan. Section 4.
