OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND
AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF THE
APPROPRIATION TO THE GOLF FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
(the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to provide by Ordinance for payment
of any expense from prior year reserves at any time such reserves are available;
and
WHEREAS, the City has Prior Year Reserves in the General Fund available to
appropriate; and
WHEREAS, Section 2 of Resolution 93-177, adopted by Council on November 16,
1993, states:
The Council may, in its discretion, appropriate General Fund revenue
for the construction of capital improvements or the acquisition of
equipment at the golf courses, to the extent that Golf Fund revenues
have been reduced by the availability of special rates for juniors,
senior citizens, and others; and
WHEREAS, in 1993, the Golf Fund absorbed $43,320 in annual pass fee
reductions for juniors and senior citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Golf Board and Golf Division staff have prepared a list of
capital projects for City golf courses totalling $43,320 in expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to appropriate prior year reserves in the
General Fund to be used for capital projects on City golf courses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that there is hereby appropriated the amount of Forty-three Thousand Three
Hundred Twenty Dollars ($43,320) from Oenera-l- Fund Prior Year Reserves to be-
transferred to the Golf Fund and appropriated therein to be used for the capital
projects at City golf courses listed on Exhibit "A" which is attached and
incorporated herein by this reference.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published the
19th day of April , A.D. 1994, and to be presented for final passage on the 3rd
day of May, A.D. 1994.
