HomeMy WebLinkAbout142 - 10/04/1994 - AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE GREENBRIAR PARK CAPITAL PROJECT TO THE PARKLAND ORDINANCE NO. 142, 1994 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE GREENBRIAR PARK CAPITAL PROJECT TO THE PARKLAND ACQUISITION CAPITAL PROJECT IN THE PARKLAND FUND WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the City Charter provides that the Council may, by ordinance, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, transfer any unexpended appropriated amount or portion thereof from one fund to another, provided that the purpose for which the transferred funds are to be expended remains unchanged or the purpose for which the funds were initially appropriated no longer exists; and WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $45,000 are needed in the Parkland Acquisition Capital Project_ for the purchase of a neighborhood park at Miramont/Oak Farm; and WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $55,000 are needed in the Parkland Acquisition Capital Project for the purchase of other parkland; and WHEREAS, the completed Greenbriar Park Capital Project has a remaining balance of $147,869 and $100,000 of these funds are no longer needed for the Greenbriar Park Project; and WHEREAS, the City Manager is recommending the transfer of $100,000 from the Greenbriar Park Capital Project to the Parkland Acquisition Capital Project within the Parkland Fund for the purposes described above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) in the Greenbriar Park Capital Project is hereby authorized for transfer to the Parkland Acquisition Capital Project with $45,000 to be used for the purchase of a neighborhood park in Miramont/Oak Farm and $55,000 to be used to acquire other parkland within the City.
