OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING SECTION 2-238 OF THE CODE RELATING
TO THE GOLF BOARD FUNCTIONS
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to amend Section 2-238 of the Code of the City
of Fort Collins dealing with the functions of the Golf Board; and
WHEREAS, these amendments to Section 2-238 of the Code are considered by
the Council to be in the best interests of the citizens of Fort Collins.
NOW; (THEREFORE-, BF 1 C OflJAINLU BY THE- COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that Section 2-238 of the Code of the City is hereby repealed and reenacted to
read as follows:
Sec. 2-238. Functions.
The board shall act as an advisory board and shall have the
following functions:
(1) To advise and make recommendations to the Cultural ,
Library and Recreational Services Director ("the
Director") and the City Council as to rules,
regulations, policies, administrative and budgetary
matters pertaining to the operation and maintenance of
all city-owned golf courses; and
(2) To advise and make recommendations to the Director
concerning the terms and conditions of any agreements to
be entered into with golf professionals and other
concessionaires in connection with city-owned golf
courses as well as any other agreements which may affect
the management, operation, maintenance, construction or
acquisition of city-owned golf courses; and
(3) To assist in the procurement of goods and services for
city-owned golf courses, including the selection of golf
professionals, concessionaires and other contractors,_ by
appointing two (2) Board members to serve on any review
committee that may be established by the City under the
provisions of Sec. 8-158 of the Code for the purpose of
making such procurements.
(4) To advise and make recommendations to the City Council
concerning approval of annual fees and charges at city-
owned golf courses.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 6th day of September, A.D. 1994, and to be presented for final passage on
the 20th day of September, A.D. 1994.
