OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE
TRANSPORTATION DIVISION PORTION OF THE
TRANSPORTATION FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
(the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to appropriate unanticipated revenues
which are the result of new revenue sources at any time during the year in which
such revenue is received; and
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution 94-130, on August 16, 1994,
authorizing the City to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the
Colorado State Department of Transportation (CDOT) for the receipt of Surface
Transportation Program (STP) funds to provide for the replacement of
approximately twenty existing traffic signal controllers throughout the City and
to upgrade the City's Master Control Computer System; and
WHEREAS, the projected cost of the aforementioned project is $70,000; and
WHEREAS, the City anticipates receiving a total of $69,000 in STP funds
administered through the COOT to be used for the purposes as identified for the
said improvements; and
WHEREAS, the local matching funds for this project, totalling $1 ,000, have
been appropriated in the Transportation Division portion of the Transportation
Services fund and are available for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that upon the City's receipt of the sum of SIXTY-NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($69,000)
in STP funds from the Colorado Department of Transportation, said sum is hereby
appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in the Transportation
Division portion of the Transportation Services Fund to be used for the purchase
and installation of traffic signal controllers and for the upgrading of the
City's Master Control Computer System.
