OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 10 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins,
hereinafter "the Charter", requires that all appropriations which are unexpended
or unencumbered at the end of the budget year, except appropriations for capital
projects and federal or state grants, lapse to the applicable general or special
fund; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8 of the Charter authorizes the City Council
to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense from reserves accumulated in
prior years notwithstanding that such reserves were not appropriated for
expenditure in the annual appropriation ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
undesignated prior year reserves in the General Fund the sum of TWO HUNDRED
THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS ($235,316) for the following:
Financial System Improvements $119,638
Police System Improvements 75,678
Tennis Court Resurfacing 40,000
Total General Fund $235,316
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
undesignated prior year reserves in the Golf Fund the sum of FIVE THOUSAND ONE
HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($5, 165) to replace carpeting in the Collindale
Clubhouse.
Section 3. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
undesignated prior year reserves in the Storm Drainage Fund the sum of FIVE
THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($5,900) for this fund's share of furniture costs
for the relocation of Utility Billing.
Section 4. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
undesignated prior year reserves in the Water Fund the sum of FOUR HUNDRED
THIRTY-EIGHT THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($438,200) for the purchase of water
rights.
Section 5. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
undesignated prior year reserves in the Wastewater Fund the sum of ONE HUNDRED
SIXTY-FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($164,500) for the following:
Gearbox at WWTP #2 $ 22,000
Replacement Gearbox 22,000
Rangeland Management Plan 95,500
Local Area Network 25,000
Total Wastewater Fund $164,500
Section 6. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
undesignated prior year reserves in the Communications Fund the sum of ONE
THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,700) for Cable Television, channel 27
brochures.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 5th day of February, A.D. , 1991, and to be presented for final passage on
the 19th day of February, A.D. , 1991 .
