OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REGARDING ANNUAL LICENSE FEES AND IMPOUND FEES FOR ANIMALS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That Section 4-36(a) of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins be, and the same hereby is, repealed and readopted to read as
follows:
(a) A license shall be issued after payment of the applicable
fees. Fees shall be established by the City Manager upon
recommendation of the operator of the animal shelter.
Section 2. That Section 4-140(a) be, and the same hereby is, amended
to read as follows:
(a) An owner or keeper reclaiming an impounded animal shall
pay an impound fee plus a daily boarding fee, both as established
by the City Manager upon recommendation of the operator of the
animal shelter. The amount of the impound fee may depend upon
the type of animal involved, its age, its licensing status and
whether it has been impounded more than once in a twelve-month
period.
Section 3. That Sections 4-140(b) and (c) are hereby deleted and the
subsequent paragraphs relettered.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 20th day of October, A.D. 1987, and to be presented for
final passage on the 3rd day of November, A.D. 1987.
