HomeMy WebLinkAbout103 - 10/01/1991 - APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES FROM THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FUND FOR THE NORTHEAST AREA TRANS ORDINANCE NO. 103, 1991 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES FROM THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FUND FOR THE NORTHEAST AREA TRANSPORTATION STUDY WHEREAS, Article V, Section 7 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins, hereinafter "the Charter" , authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense from prior year reserves at any time such reserves are available; and WHEREAS, City Council identified the need for developing a transportation plan for the northeast quadrant of the City as part of their policy goals for 1989-1991; and WHEREAS, the City, in accordance with the competitive proposal process set forth in the City's purchasing code, has found a consulting firm that can provide a comprehensive plan to be called the Northeast Area Transportation Study; and WHEREAS, such a study will include a public involvement process and address issues related to automobile traffic, bicycle, pedestrian and transit related needs; and WHEREAS, said study will take approximately 12 months to complete and will cost $128,975; and WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $128,975 are available in prior year reserves of the Transportation Services Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, that there is hereby appropriated from prior year reserves in the Transportation Services Fund the sum of One Hundred Twenty Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy- five Dollars ($128,975) to be used to fund the Northeast Area Transportation Study.
