OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF
APPROPRIATIONS BETWEEN CAPITAL
PROJECTS WITHIN THE PARKLAND FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins (the "Charter") requires that capital projects be itemized in the
budget by individual project; and
WHEREAS, the result of such itemization is that each individual
capital project in the budget is treated as a separate fund; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15 of the Charter authorizes the City
Council to transfer by ordinance any unexpended appropriated amounts or
portion thereof from one fund to another upon the recommendation of the
City Manager, provided that the purpose for the initial expenditure of said
funds no longer exists; and
WHEREAS, nearly $180,000 was saved during the construction of Troutman
Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that $60,000 be transferred
to a new Avery Park Restroom Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the unexpended appropriated amount of SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($60,000) be authorized for transfer from the Troutman Park capital project
to a new Avery Park Restroom capital project within the Parkland Fund.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 6th day of February A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final
passage on the 20th day of February, A.D. 1990.
