HomeMy WebLinkAbout066 - 07/03/1990 - APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN APPROP ORDINANCE NO. 66, 1990 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN APPROPRIATED AMOUNTS TO THE CULTURAL SERVICES AND FACILITIES FUND WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins (the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation ordinance; and WHEREAS, the computerized box office ticketing system, currently being used at the Lincoln Center, is outdated and incapable of providing basic services to its users because of limited capacity, lack of software maintenance support, and the inability to "back up" current data; and WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $137,102 are needed to replace existing hardware and software, provide maintenance support for new system installation and data conversion, and to fund ongoing maintenance support of the software and related costs for the first year; and WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $137, 102 are available in the General Fund Undesignated Reserve. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, as follows: Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated from undesignated prior year reserves in the General Fund the sum of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWO DOLLARS ($117, 102) for transfer to the Cultural Services and Facilities Fund and appropriated therein for the purpose of purchasing a computerized box office ticketing system and related items. Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from undesignated prior year reserves in the General Fund the sum of TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000) for technical support which the Department of Information and Communication Systems will provide to assist the Lincoln Center in implementing its new computerized box office ticketing system.
