OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND
AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED
AMOUNTS TO THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of
any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that
such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual
appropriation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Loveland and Fort Collins wish to construct a
commercial air terminal , parking lot, and match an FAA Grant for air-side
development of infrastructure necessary to support commercial airline
service at the jointly owned Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of $135,000 will match an appropriation from
the City of Loveland for $135,000, and an FAA Grant of up to $162,500; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the General Fund Undesignated
reserves.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated from undesignated prior
year reserves in the General Fund the sum of ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($135,000) for transfer to the Capital Projects Fund.
Section 2. That the sum of ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($135,000) is authorized for transfer from the General Fund to the Capital
Projects Fund and appropriated therein to construct a commercial air
terminal , parking lot, and match an FAA Grant for air-side development of
infrastructure at the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 5th day of June A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final
passage on the 3rd day of July, A.D. 19
