OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES
AND UNANTICIPATED REVENUE
IN THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense
from reserves accumulated in prior years notwithstanding that such reserves were
not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 14 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
permits the City Council to appropriate by ordinance unanticipated revenue which
are the result of rate or fee increases or new revenue sources at any time during
the year in which such revenue is received; and
WHEREAS, ZILCH (Zero Interest Loans for Conservation Help) air quality loan
repayments in the amount of $6,051 were received in 1991 and are available in
General Fund reserves; and
WHEREAS, revenue from ZILCH loan repayments in 1992 is projected to be
approximately $18,649; and
WHEREAS, these funds are designated for the ZILCH revolving loan project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that, upon receipt, there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
unanticipated revenue and prior year reserves in the General Fund the sum of
TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($24,700) , for expenditure in the
General Fund for the ZILCH revolving loan project.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 18th day of February, A.D. 1992, and to be presented for final passage on
the 3rd day of March, A.D. 1992.
