OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF MONIES FROM
THE GENERAL FUND TO THE CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND AND APPROPRIATING
THE SAME IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND
WHEREAS, $40,000 has been budgeted and appropriated in the General
Fund, for transfer to the Cultural Services and Facilities Fund for use in
conducting a feasibility study for a new performing arts facility; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the $40,000 be
transferred to the Capital Projects Fund for Facilities Major Maintenance
since Facilities Staff will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of
the feasibility study; and
WHEREAS, under Article V, Section 15 of the City Charter, the Council
may, by ordinance, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, transfer
any unexpended appropriated amount or portion thereof from one fund to
another, provided that the purpose for the initial expenditure no longer
exists; and
WHEREAS, it is no longer anticipated that the expenditure of the
appropriated funds will occur from the Cultural Services and Facilities
Fund, so that the purpose of the initial appropriation into that fund no
longer exists; and
WHEREAS„ said transfer of funds does not represent an increase in
City expenditures above the amount provided in the annual budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the unexpended appropriated amount of FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($40,000) be authorized for transfer from the General Fund to the Capital
Projects Fund and appropriated therein for the purpose of conducting a
feasibility study for a performing arts complex.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 13th day of March A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final
passage on the 3rd day of April A.D. 1990.
