OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR GOLF
PROFESSIONAL AND CONCESSION SERVICES AT CITY PARK NINE
GOLF COURSE FOR A TERM OF UP TO FIVE YEARS
WHEREAS, the City is the owner and operator of the City Park Nine Golf Course
in the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the City presently has an agreement with James H. Greer for Golf
Professional Services at the City Park Nine Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, said agreement expires on January 31, 1991 ; and
WHEREAS, in November of 1990, the City issued a Request for Proposals for
a contractual PGA or LPGA golf professional to provide the Golf Professional and
Concession Services at City Park Nine Golf Course beginning on February 1, 1991 ;
and
WHEREAS, the City received two (2) proposals for the City Park Nine Golf
Professional and Concession services; and
WHEREAS, the Selection Committee reviewed the proposals, interviewed both
offerors and selected James H. Greer as the most qualified offeror for this
purpose; and
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement for the City Park Nine Golf Professional and
Concession Services is for an initial term of one year with renewal options (if
desired by both parties) for up to four one-year periods; and
WHEREAS, the total cost for 1991 will be $33,000, which amount has been
budgeted, appropriated and w'll b3 available for expenditure in the City Park
Nine Golf Course budget within the Golf Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Golf Board met at a special meeting on December 10, 1990 and
reviewed said agreement and recommends approval of the proposed agreement with
James H. Greer; and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Article V, Section 31 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins and Section 8-186 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, no contract
for services or professional services, including all renewals, shall be for a
period longer than two (2) years un !ess authorized by ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that an agreement between the City and James H. Greer to provide Golf
Professional and Concession Services at City Park Nine Golf Course for a maximum
period of five (5) years, at a cost of $33,000 in 1991 and, if renewed, $37,188
in 1992; $38,436 in 1993; $39,744 in 1994; and $41,112 in 1995, be, and hereby
is, authorized.
Introduced, considered favorably on First Reading, and ordered published this
18th day of December, A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final passage on the
15th day of January, A.D. 1991 . /
