HomeMy WebLinkAbout130 - 12/04/1990 - AMENDING CITY CODE RELATING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF ELECTION DISTRICTS ORDINANCE NO. 130, 1990 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING SECTION 7-86 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS RELATING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF ELECTION DISTRICTS WHEREAS, at a special municipal election held on November 6, 1990, in conjunction with the General Election, the voters of the City of Fort Collins approved an amendment to the City Charter providing for the direct election of the mayor and the election of six (6) Councilmembers by district; and WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Fort Collins provides for the establishment of election districts. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that Section 7-86 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be amended to read as follows: "Sec. 7-86. Establishment. Pursuant to the Charter, the city is hereby divided into six (6) Districts. From each District one (1) City Councilmember will be elected. Such Districts are designated as District No. 1, District No. 2, District No. 3, District No. 4, District No. 5, and District No. 6, and are delineated on the District- Precinct Map which is adopted by ordinance and made a part hereof by reference and is on file in the City Clerk's office." Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 20th day of November, A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final passage on the 4th day of December, A.D. 1990.
