OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATIONS
BETWEEN CAPITAL PROJECTS
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins (the "Charter") requires that capital projects be itemized in the
budget by individual project; and
WHEREAS, the result of such itemization is that each individual
capital project in the budget is treated as a separate fund; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15 of the Charter authorizes the City
Council to transfer by ordinance any unexpended appropriated amounts or
portion thereof from one fund to another upon the recommendation of the
City Manager, provided that the purpose for the initial expenditure of said
funds no longer exists; and
WHEREAS, $100,000 exists in the Acquisition of Greenbelt Corridor
capital project, and $100,000 exists in the Acquisition of Open Space
capital project and funds are no longer needed for either project; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that these amounts be
transferred to the Trails and Open Space Acquisition project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the unexpended appropriated amount of TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($200,000) be authorized for transfer from the following projects:
Acquisition of Greenbelt Corridor $100,000
Acquisition of Open Space $100,000
$200,000
to the Trails and Open Space Acquisition capital project within the Capital
Projects Fund.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 6th day of February A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final
passage on the 20th day of February A.D. 1990.
