OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF AN OFFICE SPACE
TO THE LEASE WITH CONTINENTAL EXPRESS
AT THE FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND
MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the Cities of Loveland and Fort Collins, Colorado ("Cities") ,
jointly own and operate the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, Rocky Mountain Airways, Inc. , d/b/a Continental Express, is leasing
ticket counter, baggage and operations areas in the terminal building for the
purpose of conducting commercial air transportation service at the Airport; and
WHEREAS, Continental Express has proposed, in addition, to lease an office
space in the terminal building under the same lease terms and conditions in order
to house its area operations manager; and
WHEREAS, the Cities desire to extend the lease to include this additional
area in order to maintain its use in consonance with airport purposes and receive
a reasonable rental return; and
WHEREAS, under Section 23-114 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, the
Council is authorized to lease any and all interests in real property owned in
the name of the City, provided that Council first finds that the lease is in the
best interests of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1. That Amendment No. 1 to the Airline Use and Lease Agreement is
in the best interests of the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into
Amendment No. 1 to the Airline Use and Lease Agreement which provides for the
addition of an office space, approximately twelve (12) feet by seventeen (17)
feet, to the Exclusive Use Areas being leased to Continental Express.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 16th day of October, A.D. 1990, and to be presented for final passage on
the 6th day of November, A.D. 1990.
