OF .HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT LiLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE
IN THE CULTURAL SERVICES & FACILITIES FUND
AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED AMOUNTS
FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE CULTURAL SERVICES & FACILITIES FUND
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Center provides many cultural and social
amenities for the residents of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Sections 8 and 15 of the Charter of the City of
Fort Collins authorize City Council to appropriate unanticipated revenue at
any time during the year in which such revenue is received and to transfer
unexpended, appropriated amounts from one fund to another; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to appropriate funds for capital construction
costs associated with the Lincoln Center Sculpture Garden (The Terrace) ;
and
WHEREAS, fund raising efforts and private donations have been
specifically dedicated to this project; and
WHEREAS, The Terrace will provide an additional facility which will
help to generate revenue for the Cultural Services & Facilities Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from
unanticipated revenue in the Cultural Services & Facilities Fund the sum of
ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($125,000) for construction costs
associated with the Lincoln Center Sculpture Garden.
Section 2. That the sum of THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000) is
hereby authorized for transfer from existing appropriations in the General
Fund to the Cultural Services & Facilities Fund and appropriated for
expenditure in the Cultural Services & Facilities Fund for construction
costs associated with the Lincoln Center Sculpture Garden.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 7th day of June, A.D. 1988, and to be presented for final
passage on the 5th day of July, A.D. 1988.
