OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES
IN THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins permits the Council to appropriate prior year reserves at any time
such reserves are available; and
WHEREAS, the City has a vital interest in the economic health of the
community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered public input, the efforts and
recommendations of the Task Force on Economic Development and the concerns
of citizens in developing the Economic Development and Opportunities
Strategy; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development and Opportunities Strategy suggests
the development of a data base and an Economic Opportunities Program in the
City; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the General Fund prior year reserves
for Economic Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from prior year
reserves in the General Fund the total sum of TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY FIVE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($285,000) for:
a) the development of a data base $ 75,000
b) an Economic Opportunities Program 210,000
$285,000
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered
published this 17th day of March, A.D. 1987, and to be presented for final
passage on the 21st day of April , A.D. 1987. J
