OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
REGARDING THE OPERATION OF SUMMER CONCESSION STANDS FOR THE
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins provides various parks within the
City for the use and enjoyment of its residents; and
WHEREAS, in connection with the operation of such parks, the City of
Fort Collins has allowed various concession facilities in the parks; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to grant a concession for the operation
of summer concession stands in the following locations within the parks:
City Park ballfields, City Park pool , Edora Park ballfields, Lee Martinez
Park ballfields, and Rolland Moore Park ballfields; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 33 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins provides that, "No contract for service shall be made by the City
for a longer period than two years, unless authorized by ordinance. . . ; and
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement with Hoffman Concessions for the
operation of the summer concession stands in the parks is for a two year
period with renewal provisions for three additional one year periods.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with Hoffman Concessions for the purpose of operating the
summer concession stands for the Parks and Recreation Department for a
period of two years with renewal provisions for three additional one year
periods.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 17th day of March, A.D. , 1987, and to be presented for final
passage on the 21ctday of April , A.D. 1987.
