OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR
RESERVES IN THE ENERGY FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins permits the Council to appropriate prior year reserves at any time
such reserves are available; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to fund minor energy conservation measures,
to fund new energy saving devices, and to fund further maintenance
technician energy conservation training; and
WHEREAS, Accounting has indicated that prior year reserves in the
Energy Fund are sufficient to cover this appropriation for expenditure of
funds, and to maintain required reserve balances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from prior year
reserves in the Energy Fund the total sum of FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($40,000) for the accomplishment of various energy conservation measures.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 17th day of March, A.D. 1987, and to be presented for final
passage on the 21st day of April , A.D. 1987.
