OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENT
RESERVES IN THE GENERAL FUND AND
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED
AMOUNTS TO THE RECREATION FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
(the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment
of any expense from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that
such reserves were not appropriated for expenditure in the annual appropriation
ordinance; and
WHEREAS, electric motors which control the water temperature for the
showers at Edora Pool & Ice Center are not functioning correctly and are beyond
repair, creating a potential safety problem at the facility; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $10,000 are needed in the
Recreation Fund to replace the existing shower units; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $10,000 are available in the General Fund
building and improvement reserve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS,
as follows:
Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated from building and improvement
reserves in the General Fund the sum of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) for
transfer to the Recreation Fund.
Section 2. That TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) is authorized for transfer
from the General Fund to the Recreation Fund and appropriated therein to be used
for replacing the electric motors for the shower units at Edora Pool & Ice
Center.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 4th day of June, A.D. 1991 , and to be presented for final passage on the
2nd day of July, A.D. 1991 .
