OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE
ANNUAL CONCRETE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 15, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
(the "Charter") authorizes the City Council to appropriate by ordinance
unanticipated revenue received from new revenue sources at any time during the
budget year; and
WHEREAS, the City has established the Annual Concrete Improvement Program
to assist property owners in repairing, replacing, and maintaining concrete curb,
gutter and sidewalks adjacent to their properties; and
WHEREAS, to encourage the participation of property owners, the City shares
the cost of the concrete improvements with individual property owners; and
WHEREAS, participating property owners are required to pay for their
portion of the cost of improvements before construction begins; and
WHEREAS, the total amount of revenue to be received from participating
property owners for the 1991 Annual Concrete Program is estimated to be $50,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from unanticipated revenue in
the Capital Projects Fund, the sum of FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000) to be used
in conjunction with previously appropriated City funds for the 1991 Annual
Concrete Program. This appropriation is contingent upon the City' s actual
receipt of the aforementioned unanticipated revenue, and the amounts hereby
appropriated shall in no event exceed the amounts actually received by the City
during the year 1991 from property owners participating in the Annual Concrete
Improvement Program.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 4th day of June, A.D. 1991, and to be presented for final passage on the
2nd day of July, A.D. 1991 .
