OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE WASTEWATER FUND
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE LINCOLN STREET INTERCEPTOR SEWER LINE
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
authorizes the City Council to provide by ordinance for payment of any expense
from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that such reserves were
not appropriated for expenditures in the annual appropriation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to construct the Lincoln Street
Interceptor Sewer project during 1991; and
WHEREAS, this Project is being moved ahead of its prior schedule, 1992,
due to damage from runoff during 1990 and its vulnerability to further damage
in 1991 if construction does not proceed at this time; and
WHEREAS, prior year reserves are available in the Wastewater Fund and are
sufficient to cover said expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that there is hereby appropriated from undesignated prior year reserves in the
Wastewater Fund the sum of FIVE HUNDRED AND SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($560,000)
for construction of the Lincoln Street Interceptor Sewer project.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this 15th day of January, A.D. 1991, and to be presented for final passage on
the 5th day of February, A.D. , 1991 .
