OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING CHAPTERS 118 AND 99 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS TO INCLUDE LANGUAGE TO PROVIDE FOR
THE ESTABLISHMENT BY THE PLANNING DIRECTOR
OF GENERAL FEES AND CHARGES
WHEREAS, the Planning Department of the City processes applications
for development, zoning and annexation in the City and incurs expenses in
processing, reviewing and recording planning documents; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department also publishes information regarding
Code provisions, general plans, manuals, rules and regulations and incurs
expenses relating to publication; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Director has collected fees so that the City is
reimbursed for reasonable expenses attributable to planning activity on
behalf of an applicant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1 . That Section Chapter 118 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins be amended to include the following:
§118-24. General fees and charges.
The Planning Director shall establish such fees and make such
charges as are reasonably necessary to adequately reimburse the City
for its expenses incurred in processing, reviewing and recording
planning documents and information and other reasonable expenses of the
Department attributable to planning activity on behalf of an applicant
and in publishing and disseminating Code provisions, general plans,
manuals, and rules and regulations.
Section 2. That Chapter 99 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be
amended to include the following:
§99-3. Application of regulations.
D. General fees and charges. The Planning Director shall
establish such fees and make such charges as are reasonably
necessary to adequately reimburse the City for its expenses
incurred in processing, reviewing and recording planning
documents and information and other reasonable expenses of the
Department attributable to planning activity on behalf of an
applicant and in publishing and disseminating Code provisions,
general plans, manuals, and rules and regulations.
