OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
VACATING EAST MONROE DRIVE
BETWEEN JFK PARKWAY AND STANFORD ROAD
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has been petitioned
by Everwest Partnership as an Owner and Developer of the Foothills Fashion
Mall to vacate a portion of East Monroe Drive for a proposed expansion of
the Mall described more particular below; and
WHEREAS, City staff has made all necessary arrangements with the
Developer to provide adequate vehicle and pedestrian traffic circulation
through the Fashion Mall and the surrounding neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, City Department and Utility companies have been contacted and
report no problems with the vacation; and
WHEREAS, there will be no costs to the City in making the proposed
change in public Right-of-Way; and
WHEREAS, the rights of the residents of the City of Fort Collins will
in no way be prejudiced or injured by said vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1 . That the portion of East Monroe Drive between JFK Parkway
and Stanford Road, recorded with the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder
described more particularly as follows, to wit:
That part of East Monroe Drive lying south of Southmoor Village
Fifth Filing, and north of the Strachan Subdivision Third Filing,
Fort Collins, Colorado, which begins at the east radius point at
the northwest corner of Lot 2 of said Strachan Subdivision, Third
Filing, and runs thence along the arc of a 15.00 foot radius
curve to the left a distance of 23.56 feet, the long chord of
which bears S 44045'30" W 21 .21 feet; thence N 00°14'30" W 95.00
feet; thence N 89045'30" E 158.92 feet; thence along the arc of a
444.83 foot radius curve to the left a distance of 180.95 feet,
the long chord of which bears N 78°06' 15" E 179.71 feet; thence N
66*27' E 103.87 feet; thence along the arc of a 767.25 foot
radius curve to the right a distance of 312.12 feet, the long
chord of which bears N 78006' 15" E 309.97 feet; thence N
89045'30" E 305.00 feet; thence along the arc of a 15.00 foot
radius curve to the left a distance of 23.56 feet, the long chord
of which bears N 44°45'30" E 21 .21 feet; thence S 05°57'09" E
110.54 feet; thence along the arc of a 15.00 foot radius curve to
the left a distance of 23.56 feet, the long chord of which bears
N 45014'30" W 21.21 feet; thence S 89045'30" W 316.00 feet;
thence along the arc of a 687.25 foot radius curve to the left a
distance of 279.58 feet, the long chord of which bears S 78*06'
15" W 277.65 feet; thence S 66027' W 103.87 feet; thence along
the arc of a 524.83 foot radius curve to the right a distance of
213.51 feet, the long chord of which bears S 78°06'15" W 212.03
feet; thence S 89°45'30" W 143.92 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 86,654 square feet.
be, and the same hereby is vacated, abated and abolished.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall become effective on June 9,
1988.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered
published this 4th day of August, A.D. 1987, and to be presented for final
passage on the 17th day of May, A.D. 1988.
