HomeMy WebLinkAbout125 - 10/21/1986 - AMENDING CITY CODE ESTABLISHING A NEW RURAL STREET DESIGN STANDARD ORDINANCE NO. 125, 1986 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING CHAPTER 99-5 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, ESTABLISHING A NEW "RURAL" STREET DESIGN STANDARD FOR INTERNAL LOCAL STREETS OF DEVELOPMENTS WITH MINIMUM LOT SIZES OF ONE ACRE OR LARGER WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that it is desirable to preserve the "rural " setting in large lot developments; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City that the Street Design Standards of large lot developments be amended to preserve such "rural " setting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that Section 99-5 (B) (10) of the Code of the City be amended to provide as follows: (10) Street right-of-way widths shall meet the following standards. (Refer to City Design Criteria and Construction Standards for details. ) Minimum Right-of-Way Classification Width (feet) Major arterial street 120 Arterial street 100 Collector street 68 Local street 54 Local industrial street 50 Rural Street (internal local 46 streets of developments, whether standard subdivisions or planned unit developments, with minimum lot sizes of one acre or larger) Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 7th day of October, A.D. 1986, and to be presented for final passage on the 21st day of October, A.D. 1986.
