OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 99
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REGARDING SUBDIVISION OF LAND
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows:
Section 1 . That Section 99-l (B) , "Word usage and definitions.
Subdivision" be amended to read as follows:
§99-1 . Word usage and definitions.
B. Terms defined. For the purpose of this chapter,
the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
Subdivision - The platting of a lot or the
division of a lot, tract or parcel of land into
two (2) or more lots, plots or sites.
Section 2. That Section 99-3(B) (1) , "Application of regulations.
Control . " be repealed and that the remainder of Section 99-3(B) be
renumbered accordingly.
Section 3. That Section 99-5(B) (5) , "Design standards. Streets,
alleys and easements. " be repealed and reenacted as follows:
§99-5. Design standards.
B. Streets, alleys and easements.
(5) Culs-de-sac shall be permitted only if they
are not more than six hundred sixty (660)
feet in length and have a turnaround at the
end thereof with a diameter of at least
eighteen (18) feet larger than the diameter
of the curb and gutter flow line. Surface
drainage on a cul -de-sac shall be toward the
intersecting street, if possible, and if not
possible a drainage easement shall be
provided from the cul -de-sac. In the event
that fire sprinkler systems or other fire
prevention devices are to be installed within
a residential subdivision, these requirements
may be modified by the Planning Director
according to established administrative
guidelines and upon the recommendation of the
Poudre Fire Authority.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered
published this 19th day of August, A.D. 1986, and to be presented for final
passage on the 2nd day of September, A.D. 1986.
