OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING PRIOR YEAR
RESERVES IN THE WATER FUND FOR TRANSFER
TO THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND
WHEREAS, Article V, Sections 8 and 15 of the Charter of the City of
Fort Collins authorize City Council to appropriate prior year reserves at
any time such reserves are available and to transfer unexpended, appropri-
ated amounts from one fund to another; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to oversize the Northside Transmission Water
Line which will serve the Anheuser-Busch brewery; and
WHEREAS, the oversizing will provide additional water transmission
capacity needed to serve presently undeveloped areas on the north and east
side of town, but not the brewery; and
WHEREAS, funds are available from prior year reserves in the Water
Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure from prior year
reserves in the Water Fund the total sum of FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($550,000) for transfer to the Capital Projects Fund, and appro-
priated for expenditure in the Capital Projects Fund for oversizing the
Northside Transmission Water Line.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 30th day of April , A.D. 1985, and to be presented for final
passage on the 21stday of May, A.D. 1985.
