OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION
TO SCOTT C.MASON FOR H[S CONTRIBUTIONS TO
THE COMMUNITY AS A COUNCII2vTEMBER
WHEREAS,Scott C.Mason served as a Councilmember representing City Council
District 3 from April 15,1997,through April 10,2001;and
WHEREAS,during his tenure,Mr.Mason served as the Council Liaison to the Air
Quality Advisory Board,the Electric Board,the Landmark Preservation Commission and the
Planning and Zoning Board;and
WHEREAS,Mr.Mason served as a member of various Council Committees including
the Finance Committee,the Growth Management Committee and the Legislative Review
Committee;and
WHEREAS,the City was represented by Mr.Mason through his service on the Poudre
School District Liaison Committee,the Urban Growth Area Review Board and numerous other
assignments;and
WHEREAS,Mr.Mason also deserves recognition for his contributions and service to the
Fort Collins community,prior to his election as a Councilmember,as a member of the City Plan
Advisory Committee,which helped to formulate City Plan;and as a member of various City
committees and task forces including the Harmony Comdor Plan Committee,Neighborhood
Compatibility Task Force and Timberline Road Design Review Committee;and
WHEREAS,this period of time has seen an incredible amount of change and growth in
the City of Fort Collins,and Scott C.Mason was called upon to devote a substantial amount of
time and energy to the affairs of the City of Fort Collins.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE iT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Scott C.Mason
for his service and contributions to the community as Councilmember.
