RESOLUTION 2022-034
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ADOPTING THE DESIGN AND TIMELINE FOR THE
INTERVIEW PROCESS FOR THE CITY MANAGER SELECTION
WHEREAS,on July 8,2021,City Manager Darin Atteberry notified the City Council of
his intent to resign from his employment as City Manager effective August 20,2021;and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to move forward with the design and timeline for
the interview process for the City Manager selection;and
WHEREAS,on October 5,2021,the City Council approved Resolution 2021-091
approving the Ad Hoc City Manager Selection Process Committee’s (“Committee”)
recommendations for the action plan and timeline for the City Manager recruitment;and
WHEREAS,on January 24,2022,the Committee met and discussed the interview design
and timeline for the City Manager selection;and
WHEREAS,on February 3,2022,the Committee met with staff to review the draft
interview design and timeline;and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to review the interview design and timeline
recommended by the Committee and adopt a design and timeline for the interview process for the
City Manager selection.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS as follows:
Section 1.That the City Council hereby makes and adopts the determinations and
findings contained in the recitals set forth above.
Section 2.That the City Council hereby adopts the design and general timeline for the
interview process for the City Manager selection as described on Exhibit “A”attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference,subject to such modifications as the Chief Human Resources
Officer,in consultation with the Committee,determines to be necessary to adapt the design or
timeline to circumstances that arise.

day of February,A.D.2022.
