OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION
TO MELANIE POTYONDY FOR HER CONTRIBUTIONS
TO THE COMMUNITY AS CITY COUNCILMEMBER
WHEREAS, Melanie Potyondy was appointed as a City Councilmember on January 12,
2021, and has served on City Council since that date; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Potyondy has served as the Council Liaison to the Youth
Advisory Board, and member of the Council Futures Committee, and Library Trustee Selection
Committee, Urban Renewal Authority Board; and
WHEREAS, prior to her service on Council, Councilmember Potyondy served on the
Women's Commission from 2018 to 2021; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Potyondy has been an advocate for preserving community
character by supporting local businesses and cultural resources; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Potyondy has served as a champion for affordable and
attainable housing and pursuing equity and inclusion goals for the community; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Potyondy has shown strong commitment to our community,
during her appointment as Councilmember for District 4 in 2021.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Melanie Potyondy for
her service and contributions to the community as District 4 Councilmember.
Passed and adopted at a special meeting of the Cit ouncil held the 27th day of April,
