OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
CONCERNING THE FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the Cities of Loveland and Fort Collins, Colorado, entered
into an agreement on August 31, 1978 with Michael H Carlton and Patricia
D Martin for the fixed base operation at the Fort Collins-Loveland Air-
port, and
WHEREAS, Article XII of said agreement provides that before establish-
ing any additional fixed base operations dt the Airport the Cities shall
consider the ability of Airport operations to support such additional
operators, and
WHEREAS, the Cities, both prior to and subsequent to entering into
said agreement, have entered into certain agreements with the United States
whereby the Cities agreed that they would not, either directly or indirect-
ly, grant or permit any person, firm or corporation the exclusive right at
the Airport to conduct any aeronautical activities, and
WHEREAS, said agreement was subject to and subordinate to the provi-
sions of existing and future agreements between the Cities and the United
States, and
WHEREAS, the Cities, on October 21, 1980, held a public hearing to
consider the ability of Airport operations to support an additional fixed
base operator, at which hearing all persons in interest were given an
opportunity to be heard
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that based upon the evidence adduced at said hearing, the City
Council herewith finds and determines that the nature and level of Airport
operations and existing agreements with the United States are such that the
establishment of an additional fixed base operation at the Fort Collins-
Loveland Airport would be appropriate
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City
of Fort Collins held this 21st day of October , 1980
