OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
DELETING NAMIBIA FROM RESOLUTION 85-134
PROMULGATING RULES AND REGULATIONS WITH REGARD TO
THE INVESTMENT PRACTICES OF THE CITY AND WITH REGARD TO
THE PURCHASING OF SUPPLIES AND CONTRACTUAL SERVICES
BY THE CITY AS SUCH INVESTMENTS AND PURCHASES RELATE
TO THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA
WHEREAS, the country of Namibia became independent from South Africa on
March 21, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 85-134 sets investment and purchasing restrictions for
South Africa and Namibia; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins wishes to recognize Namibia's independence
by removing investment and purchasing restrictions imposed by Resolution 85-
134 from application to Namibia.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that all references to Namibia in Resolution 85-134 are deleted.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 4th
day of June, A.D. , 1991 .
