RESOLUTION 85- 135
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
GREYSTONE DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANTS, INC. ,
FOR THE DESIGN AND RESIDENT ENGINEERING OF THE
FOOTHILLS TRAIL
WHEREAS, the Foothills Trail was envisioned by the Open Space Plan of
1974 as the north-south leg of the City's trail system which would tie
together the Poudre and Spring Creek Trails; and
WHEREAS, City staff members are presently negotiating with landowners
in order to acquire property for the Foothills Trail ; and
WHEREAS, the City received thirteen proposals for the design and
resident engineering of the Foothills Trail in response to a request for
proposals; and
WHEREAS, Greystone Development Consultants, Inc. have been selected as
the firm best suited to design and manage the development of the Foothills
Trail ; and
WHEREAS, Greystone Development Consultants ' , Inc. proposal is for the
sum of Forty-Two Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars ($42,220. ) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000, ) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a professional services agreement with Greystone Development
Consultants, Inc. , for the design and resident engineering of the Foothills
Trail for a sum not to exceed Forty-Two Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars
($42,220. ) ,
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 3rd day of September, A.D. 1985.
