OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
CENTENNIAL ENGINEERING, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION
MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE TIMBERLINE AND PROSPECT
INTERSECTION RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Timberline and Prospect Intersection Reconstruction
Project has been funded in the 1984 and 1985 budgets;
WHEREAS, Centennial Engineering, Inc, was retained by the City through
the Capital Project Management Control System for design services in this
project; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Project Management Control System allows consul-
tants retained for design services to be retained for subsequent phases of
the project; and
WHEREAS, staff has negotiated a time and direct cost agreement with,
Centennial Engineering, Inc, for construction management services with the
maximum cost not to exceed Eighty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred Dollars
($89,300.00) ; and
WHEREAS, contracting with Centennial Engineering, Inc. will enhance
the efficiency of the project and contribute to the timeliness of comple-
tion; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a professional services agreement with Centennial Engineering, Inc.
for construction management services for the Timberline and Prospect
Intersection Reconstruction Project, said services to be performed by
Centennial Engineering, Inc, for a sum not to exceed Eighty-Nine Thousand
Three Hundred Dollars ($89,300.00) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
19th day of February, A.D. 1985.
