OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING A REVISION TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY
FOR THE FORT COLLINS URBAN GROWTH AREA
WHEREAS, by Resolution 88-48, the Council of the City of Fort Collins
authorized the Mayor to enter into the revised Intergovernmental Agreement
with Larimer County, Colorado, for the purpose of renewing the Fort Collins
Urban Growth Area ("UGA") and for coordinated planning and development
activities within the Fort Collins area; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of said resolution, the County
Commissioners have also approved and authorized the execution of said
Intergovernmental Agreement, upon the condition that a modification be made
in the Agreement regarding the makeup of the Urban Growth Area Review Board
("Board") ; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered said modification to the makeup of
the Board, which modification would authorize the appointment of two (2)
members of the Board by the County Commissioners without regard to
residency of said members within the UGA, and would authorize the
appointment of two (2) members of the Board by the City Council without
regard to residency of said members within the UGA; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered said modification as approved by
the County Commissioners and does hereby find that said modification is
acceptable and appropriate under the circumstances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into the
revised Intergovernmental Agreement for the Fort Collins Urban Growth Area,
as modified regarding the makeup of the Fort Collins Urban Growth Area
Review Board.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 6th day of September,
