OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF
HIGHWAYS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF OBTAINING STATE FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT
OF $710,000 FOR INTERSECTION
IMPROVEMENTS ON COLLEGE AVENUE
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado Department of Highways, Division of
Highways (the "State") , has offered to provide $710,000 from gasoline tax
revenues to fund intersection improvements to the intersections of College
Avenue and Drake Road and College Avenue and Prospect Road; and
WHEREAS, the improvements to the aforesaid intersections include the
replacement of asphaltic concrete with cement concrete to solve severe
rutting problems that presently exist at said intersections; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
it is in the best interests of the City that the aforesaid improvements to .
the intersections of College Avenue and Prospect Road and College Avenue
and Drake Road be completed and that an intergovernmental agreement with
the State be executed to obtain funding from the gasoline tax revenues held
by the State in the sum of $710,000 to complete said improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and she hereby is, authorized to execute an
intergovernmental agreement with the State for the purpose of funding the
construction of improvements to the intersections of College Avenue and
Prospect Road and College Avenue and Drake Road, which agreement shall make
available to the City from State gasoline tax revenues the sum of Seven
Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($710,000) for completion of said project.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 1st day of May, A. 1990. 00,
