OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT THE 1997 FORT COLLINS ACTION PLAN
FOR THE 1995-99 CONSOLIDATED PLAN
WHEREAS,the National Affordable Housing Act("NAHA")requires that,in order to apply
for certain Department of Housing and Urban Development("HUD")programs, local governments
must have an approved Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, after substantial analysis and public process, the Council approved the Fort
Collins 1995-1999 Consolidated Plan (the "Plan") on July 18, 1995 in Resolution 95-106; and
WHEREAS, the Plan contains a detailed discussion of the housing needs of low and
moderate income people of the community; and presents a listing of priority housing programs
support services that will attempt to address those needs during the five years; and
WHEREAS,the Plan requires the City to develop a one year action plan each year to identify
and implement the specific projects that will help implement the priorities in the Plan; and
WHEREAS, staff has prepared a 1997-1998 Action Plan, and conducted a public hearing on
June 12, 1997, in order to solicit citizen comments on the 1997 Action Plan, and has requested and
received written comments through June 21, 1997; and
WHEREAS, staff has considered all comments received and presents for Council approval
its final version of that Action Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the 1997-1998 Action Plan reflects the
community development and affordable housing priorities the Council has identified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit for approval the 1997-1998 Fort
Collins Consolidated Plan, which Action Plan is on file and available for public inspection in the
office of the City Clerk.
