OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING SECTION 114-2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS RELATING TO THE "MODEL TRAFFIC
CODE FOR COLORADO MUNICIPALITIES" , 1977 EDITION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 114-2 (Amendments) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins is
hereby amended as follows:
Section 1 . Section 114-2A is amended to add the following sections or
subsections, in numerical sequence with previous amendments:
Section 11-4, Parking between curb and property line prohibited,
is added as follows:
Section 11-4. Parking between curb and property line
prohibited - No person shall stop , stand or park a
vehicle upon the part of any street right-of-way
between the curb and the property line.
Section 11-5, Parking in front of public or private driveways
prohibited, is added as follows:
Section 11-5. Parking in front of public or private
driveways prohibited - No person shall stop, stand or
park a vehicle in front of a public or private drive-
way, except:
a) Buses engaged as common carriers, school buses or
taxi cabs may stop in such locations to load or
unload passengers.
b) Vehicles being expeditiously loaded and unloaded,
provided that the vehicle' s flashing emergency
lights are on and the vehicle is not obstructing
traffic.
Section 11-6 , Parking of specified motor vehicles, trailer
coaches, mobile homes, trailers, semi-trailers, or truck tractors
in residential zones prohibited, is added as follows:
Section 11-6. Parking of specified motor vehicles,
trailer coaches, mobile homes, trailers, semi-trailers,
or truck tractors in residential zones prohibited - No
motor vehicle exceeding twenty (20) feet in length,
or any trailer coach , mobile home, trailer, semi-
trailer, or truck tractor, or part of such vehicle,

shall be parked or stored upon the streets adjacent to
any lot zoned R-E Estate Residential District, R-L Low
Density Residential District, R-L-P Low Density Planned
Residential District, R-L-M Low Density Multiple-Family
District, R-M Medium Density Residential District, R-H
High Density Residential District, R-P Planned Resi-
dential District, R-M-P Medium Density Planned Resi-
dential District, except:
a) Commercial vehicles, when such vehicles are being
expeditiously loaded or unloaded, or equipment on
such vehicles is being used to perform the special
operations for which it was designed, including,
but not limited to, the construction, operation,
removal or repair of utility or public utility
property or facilities or public streets and
rights-of-way.
b) Motor coaches, trailer coaches or mobile homes,
when parked for a period of less than 48 hours.
For the purpose of this section, the term "trailer"
shall include any type of wheeled vehicle, regardless
of the use for which it is designed, which is designed
to be pulled by a motor vehicle. The term "motor
coach" , when used in this section, is defined as any
wheeled motor vehicle which is a single self-contained
unit, with motive powers, which is designated and gen-
erally used for occupancy by persons for residential
purposes.
