BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado:-
Section 1. It ol-tall be unlarf'ul for any person
to induce, cause, or encourage the people of the
City of Fort Collins, Colorado, or any of them to
congregate upon any of the streets, alleys, side-
walks, or public grounds rithin the corporate limits
of the City of Port Collins, or in any building or
place belonging to the City of Port Collins , Colo-
rado, by the making of speeches, singing, or engag-
ing in any kind or manner of performance or enter-
tainment at anyn places, and it shall be unlawful
for any person to engage in the making of orations,
speeehas, addresses, or the singing of songs, or
the playing upon musical instrumonts, or engaging

in any sort of entertainment or the giving of any
sort of exhibition which will tend to cause the
people to congregate, assemble, or gather upon
the streets, alleys, sidewalks, or public grounds
within the City of Fort Collins, or in any building
or place belonging to such ('ity, unless such person
shall first obtain permission so to do from the
Mayor of said City, n.nd shay_ receive instructions
and directions from said Mayor where to make such

addresses dry entertainment .
Sec. 2. The Mayor of the City of Fort
Collins, may, at his discretion, grant a permit
to sny person or persons to make orations, addresses,
speeches or give musical or other entertainment or
exhibition u7)on the streets, alleys , or public
grounds of the City of Fort Collins.
Sec. 3. Any person or plErsons violating Sec-
tion one of this ordinance shall, upon conviction
thereof, be fined in any sum of not loss than
Twenty Dollars ( 20.00) nor more Hundred Dol-
lars (4300.00) and costs of suit, �.nd in default
of the payment of such fine and costs, shall be Im-
prisoned in the City Jail, or in the ^. cunty Jail Ky
until such fine and costs are paid, provided that
such imprisonment shall not exceed Ninety ( 00) days.
Sec . 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

and read at the regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, held on the
