BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23 OF THE
FORT COLLINS CODE, RELATING TO FEES FOR DOG LICENSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1. That Section 23 of the Fort
Collins Code, relating to fees for dog licenses, be amend-
ed so as to read as follows:
"Section 26 . Every owner or possessor and
every person who harbors or keeps any dog or dogs within
the corporate limits of the City of Fort Collins, shall
annually or. January lst pay to the City Clerk of the City
of Fort Collins, for the use and benefit of the City, the
sum of Two Dollars (42. 00) for each and every male dog,
and the sum of Four Dollars (�4.00) for each and every
female dog owned , possessed, harbored or kept by such per-
son; except upon the exhibition to the City Clerk of a
certificate iesuea under the hand of a duly licensed
veterinarian, bearing dat
prior to the application for such license , which said
certificate shall show that the female dog has been duly
spayed, and contain a sufficient description to identify
said animal for whim license is sought , then the fee for
such spayed dog shall be ixo uoliars Wa.00) . "
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
' Section 3. In the opinion of the City Council
an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health,
peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon
its passage and publication, under and by virtue of the autlo-
rity contained in Sections B and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the
unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council this

read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on

dered published in the Fort Collins Courier , a daily newspaper
and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins , by the
unanimous vote of all mei=ibers of the Council, as an emergency or-
dinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections S and 7
of Article IV of tha City Charter; and thereafter , and on towit:
the -.7 day of February, A.D. 1921, said Ordinance No. 2 was
duly published in the Fort Collins Courier , a daily newspaper
published 1n the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
