BEING AN E2LERGFNCY ORDINANCE RELATING TO AN APPROPRIATION
FOR THE PAY,AENT OF OUTSTANDING WARRANTS AND INTEREST , HERE-
TOFORE ISSUED FOR THE LOWERING AND RE00?TSTRUCTION OF THE
MUNICIPAL RAILWAY IN WEST 20UNTAIN AVENUE IT.PROMAENT DIS-
TRICT NO. 8.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. Whereas, pursuant to Ordinance No.
17, 1920 , a eating West ;fountain Avenue Improvement District
No. 8, and providing for the construction of permanent paving
therein, it became necessary to lower and reconstruct the
municipal railway in said West ,ountain Avenue Improvement
District No. 8, and to issue warrants in payment therefor,
which said warrants are interest bearing warrants and out-
standing at the date hereof , and it has become necessary by
reason of the failure to make any appropriation in the annual
appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December
31st , 1921, to provide for the payment of said warrants with
accrued interest thereon by a special appropriation for said
purpose.
Section 2. That there be and hereby is ar- pro-
priated out of the revenues of the City of Fort Collins, and
not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year ending Decem-
ber 31st , 1°M , the sum of Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-
six and 34/100 Dollars (414 ,686.34) , for the purpose of paying
the principal of the warrants already issued and outstanding
and accrued interest thereon, for the lowering and reconstruc-
tion of the municipal railway in West fountain Avenue Improve-
ment District No. 8, which said appropriation shall be known
and designated on the books of the City Clerk and of th City
Treasurer as municipal railway .�t•I'�bf
4ammV , and all warrants issued and outstandin;; with interest
accrued thereon to the date of payment shall be paid by the
City Treasurer out of said appropriation.
Section 6. This ordinance is hereby declared
to be an e:.aergency ordinance under and by virtue of the pro-
visions of Section 13 of Article XIX of the City Charter, as
being; necessary for the preservation and safety of public
property, and it is necessary for this ordinance to be passed
finally upon the date when it is introduced, by reason of the
emergency for the preservation of the public health and safe-
ty and under and in pursuance of the authority contained in
Sections 6 and 9 of Article IV of the City Charter .
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the
unanimous vote of all the members of the City Council this
26th day of larch, A.U . 1S21 .

Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the fore-
going ordinance consisting of three (3) sections was duly
proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 26th day of March, A.D. 1'�21, and
was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins
Courier , a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of
the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all mem-
bers of the Council, as an emergency ordinance, in accord-
ance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV
of the City Charter; and thereafter, on towit : the 3 o day
of �crc . , A.D. 1921 , said Ordinance No. S was
,duly published in the Fort Collins Courier , a daily news-
paper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
