Be it ordained by the City Council of the City- of Fort Collimr :
Sec . 1 . it shall be unlawftkfor any person or persons to tack
cards, tin or board signs, to pc--t any posters or to distribute oir-
o..ulars , dodgers, samples, sample copies or other hills or device:.
to advertise patent :Medicines, patent articles, tobaoco, shows, thea-
trical performances, merchandiso or for any other purpose for whioh
advertising signs, posters, circulars, dodgers, bills, oards, tin
or board signs or devices that are calculated to attract the atten-
tior of the publio, without first having obtained a license from the
city of Fort Collins so to do for whier he shall pay the sum of
dollars per anmm in advaroe.
Sec. II. The provisions of section 1 hereof shall not apply to
local merchants, manufactures, 'religious, Fraternal r)r Beravglent
Societies of F^rt Collins.
Sec. III. It shall be uTlowful for any person to throw posters,
dodgers, ciroula_rs, bills, samnleA or devices upor. any of the etreets

See. IV. No license for bill posting , distributing or advertis-

Sec. V. Any person violating any of the provisions of this or-
dinance shall upon oonviotlor thereof before tile. Police Maglstrate
of said city be fined in a star not leas than five dollars nor more
then twenty-five dollars for eaoh offense and shall be imprisoned
in thefoity or County jail until suoli fine and costs are paid.
